Sanchi

About
Sanchi is a small village in Madya Pradesh, close to Bhopal. It is famous for the Budhist Stupa,  which is listed on the UNESCO world heritage sites.

The Case for
 The Sanchi Stupa is a UNESCO world heritage site in a very quiet setting surrounded by valley and nature. The art work is exquisite and is easily reached from Bhopal.

Getting to
  • The closest airport to Sanchi is Bhopal. Bhopal can also be reached by train from Delhi, Mumbai and Chennai.
  • There are several trains to Visdisha which is about 10 km from Sanchi, or at least 4 trains from Bhopal that stops at Sanchi.
